Below is one of the many stories I’ve read recently on home invasions and the reason I’m holding our FREE Home Invasion Seminar.
STAUNTON – Two men armed with guns entered a home on Richardson Street early Tuesday morning, police said.
No shots were fired and no injuries were reported, but the two men made off with a number of items.
The armed robbery took place shortly after midnight in the 100 block of Richardson Street, according to the Staunton Police Department.
Jennifer Stevens, a spokeswoman for the police department, said the two men entered the home by force after knocking on a door.
“They kept asking where the money was,” said Stevens, who also noted the suspects were looking for a specific person who was not at the home.
After forcing their way inside, the two men stole cell phones, a laptop computer, two gaming consoles and shoes, Stevens said. One man kept his face covered with a bandana, while the other covered his face with an unknown material.
Two people were at the home at the time of the incident – a 19-year-old man and a 47-year-old woman.
The only description of the suspects provided to police was that one was a black male, and the other suspect a white male.
Stevens said the investigation into the armed home invasion is ongoing.
No arrests were made.
